The Rest of the Story

I forgot the funniest part of our conversation on our way to school this morning until we were eating dinner. (See post below)

Right after the boyfriend comments, Laynie said, "I sure hope we don't move into a new house." "Why not?" I asked. She said, "Because I'm allergic to them!" I laughed and said, "No your not!" :-) She said, "Well how come I've been so stuffy since moving in?" I told her it was just her springtime allergies. Jones proceeded to tell me he was allergic to jelly he thought, but not peanut butter. Laynie informed him he was not allergice to jelly or he couldn't eat PB & J for lunch everyday!!

Then we told Laynie good bye and she went in at school. Jones said, "Mom what are you allergic to?" I said, "Oh just some medicine called penicillin." He said, "I know what I'm allergic too now, know what it is?" I said, "What?" He said, "A dirty house!?!?!" I laughed and immediately called Trey and told him Jones was definitely his son--Trey is allergic to that too! Ha/Ha

ALOHA

We have begun decorating!!!

Wal-Mart has an aisle of 'tropical stuff' and we bought it up!!! Laynie LOVES it all, and I'm being a good Mommy and trying to honor my daughter's wishes while not making her entire room look 'cheesy.' We're not done yet, but I do really like her big windows! I got 24 feet of the hawaiian table skirt for $14, and we have done both windows with lots of leftovers!! We already had the long rods, so just a little hot glue and waalaa--a perfect tropical window treatment!

Let me know what you think--

On the Way to School

So how many actual topics can come up on your way to school? Let's just say quite a few and we only live less than two miles from Laynie's elementary school!!

So to start the morning--"Yeah Mommy! Our car isn't dead anymore! That's right daddy fixed the battery so it works today. Did you know it was going to work? Yes I knew Daddy could fix it!!

When is Popa taking us camping? NO LAYNIE--you can't go camping. The turkey woods is only for boys. Yes I can go camping with Popa. No you can't LAYNIE!!!! It's too dangerous for girls!! Jones what do you do at the turkey camp? We sit around the fire, we sleep in the tent, and we hunt! :-) Check out my cute little turkey hunter!!!Well can we go to Silver Dollar City again soon? I want to take Ellie with us, or maybe Rebeckah can they go with us? Well it will probably just be our family this time Laynie, well it would be more fun with my friends (it's already begun)!!

Remember what we talked about last night Laynie? Yes I'm friends with everyone--I'm too young to have a boyfriend. Amen sister--way too young!!! (Yes that question came up before bed last night because some of her kindergarten friends have 'boyfriends'!) Can you believe that?

Have a good day sissy--bye Laynie. (door shuts)

Mom--camping really is just for boys, LAYNIE can't go!!!

Just a typical conversation on our way to school.
